I started running in high school while training for team sports- and like many other teenagers, I hated it! I continued to run through college to stay in shape, and slowly began to develop an appreciation for running. I found that it was the quickest and most inexpensive way to get in a quality workout while also clearing my mind!
A few years after graduating college I ran my first race: The Baltimore Half-Marathon! From that point on I was hooked on long-distance running and racing.
Since that day in 2007, I have participated in over 30 races ranging from 5ks to full marathons. Along the way I have learned tons about training, nutrition, and recovery. I have been plagued with too many injuries to count, and even had hip surgery in 2010. I use this space to share my journey and connect with other runners and bloggers. Thanks for stopping by!
