This morning started out with some waterfront yoga at Baltimore’s inner harbor. Baltimore’s Waterfront Partnership and Charm City Yoga put on a series of fitness events during the summer and fall (and probably other seasons but I have just heard of this one).
It was the perfect morning for outdoor yoga and I felt like I could truly relax.
The class was just what I needed today. Next week is the last weekend it is offered, and I think I will need to get some passes to the studio to keep up with my practice.
When I got home I tried to clean my mat. It rained last night so by practicing on the grass my mat definitely got some mud stuck to it.
Does anyone else plan their meals for the week before grocery shopping? I have started doing this so I know exactly what to buy at the store. It seemed like this week we have some more complicated meals, because my grocery cart was really full!
Here’s what’s planned for the week:
Sunday: Spaghetti Squash Lasagna
Monday: Salmon, Sauteed Spinach, Cous cous
Tuesday: Parmesan Crusted Chicken
Wednesday: Steak Fajitas
Thursday: Chicken marsala, brown rice, fall salad
Friday: Pasta, Meatballs, Salad
Saturday: Crock Pot Chili
While I was grocery shopping I was craving a salad with steak for some reason, so I picked up some things to make it when I got home. Spring mix, kale, pear, cherry tomatoes, walnuts, dried cranberries, blue cheese, and sliced flat iron steak with balsamic vinaigrette dressing:
Running this week was better than last, but I am still taking it easy.

Back up to my regular mileage but no fast or hard running. Yesterday was supposed to be a 20 miler (my last of the training cycle) but I planned to do closer to 15. I was still feeling good at 15 but by 16 I knew I was pushing it so headed home for 17.
Two more visits with the chiropractor this week, hoping I keep seeing improvements!
And I guess I am now starting my taper? (Feels kind of weird since I just had a break).
How did everyone else’s running week work out?
I plan out my meals before I go to the grocery. I think it helps me stay focused and not pick up extra items. I am trying to stick to a budget! Last week was a down week for my half marathon training, so this week it is back to full force! I am excited to challenge myself, but nervous too. More running means getting up earlier! Is it sad that is my biggest concern?! Have a great week!
