Florida Pics, Trader Joes, and My First Stitch Fix

I can already tell this is going to be one of those posts that is all over the place! That’s ok, I guess. This week is a little all over the place. I came back from Florida on Tuesday night but was off yesterday. (When I booked my flight back I was supposed to have a dentist appointment so I took the day off but left Florida a day before Rob. My appointment got changed but it was too expensive to switch my flight.) It was really great having a day to get caught up because I got home at like 9pm on Tuesday. Groceries, laundry, random errands, blogging, cleaning…all that fun stuff! So, what did I do on my day off?

Trader Joe’s Trip

We don’t go to Trader Joe’s very often any more because we usually order groceries on Amazon Fresh. At 11 am yesterday it was packed! For some reason I really thought it would be quiet during the week but I think it was busier than Saturday morning. Of course I had to get a few bags of our favorite holiday treat!
 Pjs peppermint pretzels

I will have to hide some of these from Rob or they won’t make it until the weekend.

Stitch Fix

I also had to do some returns (one being my shoes that gave me a blister). I tried Stitch Fix for the first time and my order came while I was away. Anything I didn’t want had to be sent back by Thursday but figured I should get it done while I was off. The outfits they sent were really cute! I am keeping jeans and two tops (I never thought they would send me jeans I liked on the first try!) There was a scarf and a jacket that I sent back; I didn’t think I would wear the jacket and the scarf had little fringes that were falling off and I didn’t want them all over whatever shirt I would wear with it!  This was a great option for someone who doesn’t like shopping and I’m sure I will order from there again.

Gift Wrapping

We got a few packages delivered while we were away so I started some wrapping. The tree looks a little empty at this point but will fill up soon!

Gifts

Workout

I got a late start this morning and didn’t run until after 8! I slept until 5 (which is late for me) but just scrolled through my phone while laying in bed until 5:30. I drank my coffee while reading blogs and making a meal plan/grocery list. By the time I got ready to work out it was much later than I expected!

Florida Pics

That was plenty of talking/writing…how about I just end this post with a bunch of pictures from Florida?

We really had great weather and it was the perfect long weekend. It was especially nice because I just decided to go a few weeks ago, so it kind of snuck up on me and wasn’t something I was waiting for for months. Now just 11 work days to get through until Christmas break!

I’m very lucky — since I don’t work I do my grocery shopping during the week. I loathe shopping on the weekends! TJs does get busy quickly, so I usually try to get there no later than 9 am. Ours has a teeny tiny parking lot.

I was in FL last weekend too, but it was a trip we’d planned for months!

Good to know the stores are better early in the morning! I was also trying to avoid driving there during rush hour traffic so I guess there is a fine line of when I should go during week next time:)

isn’t it funny how crowded tj is during the week?! it’s always crowded when I go! I haven’t tried stitch fix because I do like to shop a whole lot but I see so many people love it! that’s exciting to score some new jeans so easily!

I have no idea how to shop anywhere other than the Loft and Target so I think this is a pretty good option for me!

Florida sounds so nice! Ryan and I were talking about how we need to go to Cali every winter for sunshine and a break from the rain.

Yes! A break from bad weather is so necessary to get through the winter months!

I have a new obsession with reading blogs that do stitch fix reviews! I don’t know why, but apparently I like to see pics of people trying on clothing and reviewing the clothes! Did you have fun trying everything on?

      December 8, 2016 at 7:23 pm

I actually didnt have alot of fun trying stuff on…it kind of annoys me! But Im just weird about that stuff. I was SO glad I liked some of the things they sent or I would have been really annoyed. I like to have good clothes that are comfortable and look nice but I really have no patience for picking stuff out or making decisions!

I think I need to try Stitch Fix. One of the women I spent the weekend does Stitch Fix and she had the most amazing outfit on!

I want to go back to Florida…

I’m thinking of trying Stitch Fix once I get to Boulder. I need help with my wardrobe, and I don’t like what’s available in shops.

I think you would like it! It seems like they have lots of options for all sorts of styles.

The sunshine in FL looks amazing! I need to make sure I get some sun mid winter at some point to make it through. 🙂
I am at Trader Joe’s about once a week… I love living close to one now!

I feel like I will need another Florida trip before the winter is over! (considering it hasn’t even really started yet…)
I don’t live too far from TJs but there can be alot of traffic at rush hour, so I never go during the week after work.

I totally need to up my style game. I’ve not tried Stitch Fix but I’m intrigued. OK those pretzels? They’re my kryptonite. Costco had a super-sized bag, which I already ate. THEN I went to TJs and got the small bag….just one…cuz you know…..discipline. :p

      December 8, 2016 at 7:26 pm

Good thing we don’t go to Costco or Im sure we would have also gotten the big bag!

I have been playing with the idea of using stitchfix I know several bloggers have had really good luck on it. Your stuff looks really cute!

Thanks! I can be kind of picky so I was really excited that I liked so many of the items!

19 miles! 7 on the treadmill, 12 outside, 1,272 to 19 miles! 7 on the treadmill, 12 outside, 1,272 total feet of elevation gain. Amazing weather. Listened to Life of a Showgirl on the treadmill and had some podcasts saved for my outside run but couldn’t get my headphones to connect. This was challenging by the end and I kept thinking how hard it would be if I needed to run another 7 miles today (and all miles at a faster pace) but this is why we train. Feeling like I’m in a good place with 6 weeks to go! How was your run today? #run #marathontraining #longrun
