It’s been one of those weeks that is difficult to remember because Monday felt like 3 seasons ago. It’s seriously gone from being freezing cold, to spring-like, to snowing/icing/raining over a 6 day period.
On Friday I wanted to get in a good run because I wasn’t sure how the weekend weather would turn out. I completed a 4 mile run following this time-based pyramid workout. I’ve done similar workouts over the last few months as I haven’t really been doing speedwork but want to get my legs moving faster.
I started with a 5 minute warm up, then completed this run, and spent a few minutes cooling down. My “hard'” pace was around 7:30-7:45 and my “easy” pace was around 9:30-9:45.
Here is how the rest of the week looked:
Monday: 50 minutes spinning
I followed this workout, and did my PT exercises
Tuesday: BBG Arms and Abs
I added on some of my own upper body work using weights at the end.
Wednesday: 3 miles plus PT exercises
It was icy out even though it was starting to warm up!
Thursday: Total Body Workout
I competed a full body strength workout that included the TRX and PT stuff.
Friday: 4 mile time-based pyramid workout
(See above for details)
Saturday: 6 miles plus PT exercises
I was excited to run in some new gear! I got the Launch 4s and a warm running top on sale from Running Warehouse.
Sunday: Glute Workout and Yoga
I completed the 30 Minute Burning Workout that I shared last week and then finished it off with a little yoga focused on the core.
It’s that time of year where we just have to take it one week at a time, not knowing that the weather will bring! (Although it does look like it will be warm again this upcoming week- fingers crossed)
