Zero G Storage Review And Giveaway

A few months ago I was contacted to try a product called the Zero G Gear Grabber. Zero G Storage is a system for organizing, storing and accessing products such as water bottles or fitness accessories. Of course I was excited to try this out- after all, I have plenty of fitness accessories that would need a home in my new house!

Once I was somewhat settled after the move I received the Gear Grabber. It was smaller than I had imagined, but contained all the parts I would need to install it. I am usually not good with tools, but I wanted to try to install it myself so I could let you know how it went.

After deciding where I would install the Gear Grabber (I chose the garage where we have alot of our storage) I pulled out some tools (a drill and screwdriver) and went to work. In about 15 minutes it was up and I was putting some extra water bottles in there to keep them out of the way.

It seems like there are several ways that you could install the Gear Grabber, and it would really work in just about any area of the home. I could also fit my foam roller or yoga mat in it if I decide to move things around a bit. It came with small velcro straps, which you can see in the picture below, making it easier to store smaller products so that they won’t move around.

Overall I think this is a very practical and useful product which is easy enough to install. Want to try one out for yourself? The creator of Zero G has been kind enough to offer a free Zero G Gear Grabber to two giveaway winners!

Even if you don’t win, you can still save 15% using discount code MOREWINE at Amazon.com on the Gear Grabber or Bottle Belt!

Good luck!

How would you use the Zero G Gear Grabber?

I never have enough room for what seems like multiplying water bottles so I can see where this could help a lot of people. I think for me though it would just be way too small. Our family would need 5 of those in every room 😉

I hear ya! We actually threw out a ton of old water bottles before we moved, so this is about all we have left (except the ones we use every day).

I am so not handy that the thought of installing or putting anything together makes me twitch lol. I am all about organization though – very useful product!

I was so nervous about it, and at first I planned to just have Rob do it, but it was actually pretty easy! I feel like if I can do it anyone can do it:)

I could use about 10 of those in my garage. We have so many unorganized things. I like that it looks very simple to use and multipurposeful.

Very interesting concept. I think its a great idea to stay organized, and using it for water bottles is great! Especially easy to grab one as you’re walking out the door. I hate clutter so this would be great!!

      May 12, 2015 at 7:49 pm

I hate clutter too! And those water bottles were driving me crazy because they take up so much cabinet space.

Its definitely a great place to store water bottles that you don’t use all the time!

    May 12, 2015 at 9:50 am

Oh cool! All of our water bottles are currently jammed into a lower cupboard in our kitchen. Callum loves getting in there and pulling them ALL out onto the floor. It’s so awesome how we get so many chances to step on one and slip and wipe out in the middle of a busy kitchen but the kid is cute, and so he gets away with it.

    • [email protected] says

      May 12, 2015 at 7:50 pm

Haha! We actually had ours in the high up cabinets, and then I would try to take them down and they would fall on my head. This is much easier and no longer wastes precious cabinet space:)

I hated storing my water bottles in the kitchen cabinets; it felt like such a waste of space!

  12. Hilary @ Embrace the Neon says

    May 12, 2015 at 11:56 am

Love this! I’d use it to stash my foam roller somewhere other than the middle of the extra bedroom, or to hold the 9 water bottles currently strewn across the bottom of a kitchen cabinet. (I love getting free stuff from races, but how many water bottles does a girl need?)

    • [email protected] says

      May 12, 2015 at 7:52 pm

I know! I actually got rid of a bunch of water bottles before we moved, but these were all still extra. I like to have them around but I don’t need them in the kitchen.

  13. Lizzy says

    May 12, 2015 at 3:11 pm

Oh wow. I was just wondering what I should do with our multiple foam rollers. Right now they just sort of occupy a corner, but it bugs me because it doesn’t look all that great and if one gets bumped they all fall down.

    • [email protected] says

      May 12, 2015 at 7:56 pm

I would love to put my foam rollers in one of these but I haven’t decided where my workout area will be yet- so I didnt want to install anything until I knew for sure, but it is definitely a great option for storing things like foam rollers!

    • [email protected] says

      May 12, 2015 at 7:57 pm

Would it even be race week if I wasn’t a ball of n Would it even be race week if I wasn’t a ball of nerves and not able to sleep? This is my first big marathon in 10 years, my first time traveling to a race in 10 years, and my first time spending the night away from my kids. And of course I’m tapering so I can’t run off the nerves 🙃 #marathontraining #taper #richmondmarathon
Looked like fall, felt like summer 🍁 I was definit Looked like fall, felt like summer 🍁 I was definitely overdressed for this run but it was nice to not wear gloves or a headband! This was the run I needed a week before my marathon. After last week’s disaster of a long run it felt great to just run an easy 10 miles. (And these days 10 miles feels like nothing). I think I figured out the fueling and shoes 🤞so nothing left to do but take it easy, carb load, and get in the right mindset! Is it unseasonably warm where you are?

#running #marathontraining #longrun
Yesterday’s long run was not what I wanted it to b Yesterday’s long run was not what I wanted it to be. The plan was to take the day off from work, head to the trail where I could run 10 uninterrupted miles at MP (16 total) and practice my race day fueling while wearing my race day shoes.

What actually happened? All week I was stressed about this run and the condition of the trail. We had lots of rain on Thursday, and Friday was forecasted to be very windy. I tried to get in the best mindset possible, reminding myself that I won’t be able to control the conditions on race day. Meanwhile, I haven’t been sleeping well thanks to my 2 year old waking up every night, and my watch has been basically telling me that I’m losing all my fitness and need a week of recovery.

While I started the run feeling pretty good, after 11 miles (7 at MP) my stomach turned and I almost got sick on the side of the trail. I just couldn’t recover from that. The best I could do was run the rest of the miles easy, and needed some walk breaks. On top of that, my shoe kept rubbing my foot on top and I stopped twice to retie it. This has never happened before and now I’m questioning what shoes I should wear for the race. The trail was also in rough condition with several trees blocking it, lots of wet leaves, and rocks/sticks that I had to look out for.

I just can’t believe how bad I felt for the last 5 miles of this run and I can’t pinpoint the cause. Am I overdoing it with the fueling and can’t handle it on harder effort runs? Was it something I ate recently? The hard part is there’s no time to really try something different before the race, as all I have left is a 10 mile easy run next weekend.

I’m trying to remember that one bad run does not take away from all the good runs this training cycle. I’m using today to reset and move on so I can make the most of my last 2 weeks of training. It’s not the way I wanted my last big long run to go, but I suppose it was good practice for pushing through even when I felt pretty awful.

Who else has had a terrible long run close to your race?

#running #marathontraining #longrun
Spent almost every step of this 21 mile run questi Spent almost every step of this 21 mile run questioning my life choices. Like waking up at 3am to run 12 miles on the treadmill and 9 outside. This was a crazy week with a kid that wasn’t sleeping great and fighting a cold and super busy days at work. My legs were just tired the whole time today. It was really hard to run outside after so many treadmill miles and my pace was much slower than inside.

I reminded myself that this is peak week. It’s supposed to feel hard. If it was easy everyone would do it. I ran 53 miles this week and am not injured. The weather is perfect. I’ve gotten in every planned run of this training cycle so far. I get to do this.

And I managed to finish strong with my last 3 miles the fastest of the (outside) run. I owe that to a solid fueling plan and taking all my gels even when I really didn’t want to.

3 weeks to go until race day!
