Our 2 Year Wedding Anniversary!

Today Rob and I are celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary! Well, technically we celebrated over the weekend because who really has time to do anything fun on a Monday? I’m planning to share some of the fun stuff we did later in the week, but for today I thought I would share some wedding pictures, since I didn’t have a blog back then.

Sunday night was spent watching our wedding video, which is always entertaining! I also dug up our wedding website, and it was the first time I have looked at it since we were engaged! This was my first effort at a website before the days of blogging!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Love all of the pics … and it is really so much fun looking back through all of the wedding stuff. Glad you guys had a great anniversary weekend … enjoy whatever time you have today. 🙂

It must have also been fun looking back at your wedding site – I hope it stays around, and I would definitely recommend backing it up so that if it goes away it isn’t lost.

We were an August wedding, and very fortunate with weather – it could have been so hot, but it wasn’t. We did have a video made, which was just becoming a ‘thing’ back then, and Lisa had it transferred to DVD a couple of years back so we can keep it around.

As for website … well, there wasn’t a ‘web’ yet when we were married … there weren’t even digital cameras yet! Registration was really just getting more widespread – because the thought of being registered at a store with national reach was pretty new … most stores back then if you were registered it was at THAT store only! Another things we take for granted with technology!

It’s so interesting to think of how the development of technology has impacted weddings! I can’t imagine not having an online registry now. I also have a feeling that more and more people will end up going to an electronic style of RSVP.
I should figure out how to back up the website, that’s a good idea!

Congrats on 2 years! It’s fun looking at all the pictures, they’re fabulous 🙂 We never did a wedding website and went pretty simple overall for our wedding. Come to think of it I’m sure neither of us were savvy enough to create any sort of website back then, we’re a little slow! Have a great day and hope you had a great celebration!

Thanks! I had no idea what I was doing with the website either, but luckily there were templates that made it pretty simple.

Aww Happy Anniversary! Such beautiful pictures. I got married in November too, a wonderful time of year for a wedding. My favorite part about wedding is of course, the food. People still talk about my wedding for the food (and music and flowers but the point here is the food lol)…I made sure to have like ten different kinds of chocolate cakes because, well, it was my wedding. And I love watching wedding videos! My son used to watch mine on repeat when he was like two.

November is a great month for weddings! We also made sure to have good food… I loved going to the tastings before to pick out what we wanted! Of course choosing a cake was fun too:) That is so cute that your son watched your wedding video at such a young age!

You were a beautiful bride and you are a beautiful girl inside and out with a good head on your shoulders. Congratulations for making a successful marriage and life together because that’s what it is all about really. The weddings are usually great but the life we create and live from then on together as a couple is what really signifies success and beauty or not unfortunately for some. You have made a real, sincere and genuine life together as you show through tidbits on your blog. May your lives together always be full of health, love and happiness always. Happy Anniversary to you both.

    Congrats again!

Hey all, I’m Jon! I have a very strong passion for cinema and photography. My art is a reflection of how I witness the moments on your wedding day. I concentrate on shooting the special moments and pride my self on the ability to choose and edit the very best of them. Your wedding day is THE most special day of your life, so much time and attention is invested into it which means your photographer or videographer must capture every detail you desire.

Yesterday’s’ long run was 16 miles with 6 x 1 Yesterday’s’ long run was 16 miles with 6 x 1 mile MP/1 mile easy. I took a few hours of PTO in the morning to do this on the trail because I knew wouldn’t be able to do it this weekend. This was my first time on the trail since my marathon last November. It was nice to be back there and the perfect place to do this kind of long run. It was the kind of run where you start thinking “ok cool I just did a tough MP workout” but then you remember you actually need to run 26 miles in a row at that pace. Luckily there’s still 9 more weeks of training…although that doesn’t really sound like that much!
41 miles for the week and got in 2 strength sessions. Taking it easy this weekend other than chasing the kids around for all their activities! #run #marathontraining #longrun
It’s kind of freeing to not care about pace. It It’s kind of freeing to not care about pace. It is a little frustrating to have to plan more time for an easy run. But it’s definitely worth it to recover quicker and feel better on workout days! #run #marathongtraining #easyrun
You know marathon training is starting to get real You know marathon training is starting to get real when you start losing track of what training week it is. I had to check my calendar but this was week 6, so 10 weeks to go!

I ran the Charles Street 12 last weekend so this week was all about easy miles and recovering from the race. That went well until I went and ran all the hills yesterday followed by walking around a maze and fun park for 5 hours. I got in some strength and mobility this morning and now I’m back to focusing on recovery!

If you’re training for a race how many weeks do you have left?

#run #runner #marathontraining #richmondmarathon
15 miles, over 1,100 feet of elevation gain, and 9 15 miles, over 1,100 feet of elevation gain, and 91% humidity 🫠 Pretty sure that was harder than my race last weekend, but got it done. Now off to my second workout of the day- taking the kids to an outdoor fun park. RIP to my legs.
What are you up to this weekend?
