I feel like I have only been doing Thinking Out Loud posts like once a month lately and then I end up with so much stuff to say. Or I will take notes about what I want to talk about when I finally do a TOL post but then weeks go by and it is no longer relevant. Anyway, let’s see what I have been thinking about lately! Baltimore 10 Miler
As I was getting ready to run the Baltimore 10 miler last weekend I was looking back at my previous race times/course stats and of course 2014’s race recap. The recap gave me so much helpful info! However, I also ran in 2012 and 2013, and I have 1 picture from 2012 but no evidence of 2013! I don’t remember anything about it and we figured out Rob didn’t run it by checking Athlinks, and I know I didn’t have a great race because of my time, but that’s all I remember! I wish I had a blog back then or some sort of documentation to jog my memory.
I felt like I was dehydrated for a day and a half after Saturday’s race. Did I mention it was humid? Yea. I drank alot of water that day but I still constantly had this feeling in my throat like I was still thirsty, and it lasted all day Sunday too.
Sunday was my rest day and I was more tired than on the days when I run. Does that happen to anyone else? I feel like when I’m in a good running groove I dread my rest days because I know I will feel more tired. Luckily it was a Sunday and I was able to lay around and not too a whole lot!

I’m not a big TV watcher (ok I don’t watch TV on my own at all, but Rob will turn it on and sometimes I will pay attention-usually not) but a few weeks ago he started watching the Office on Netflix. It’s so addicting to be able to binge watch shows like that without commercials! I know people have been doing this for years, but it’s just never been my thing. Other than Fuller House, which I watched all of season 1 in like 2 days.
So in my weekly recap I mentioned I didn’t know if I would do a workout this week because I just ran a race and have another in less than 2 weeks. So on Tuesday I did a fartlek run. The plan was to do a 10 minute warm up, and then 6 x 3 minutes hard with 1 minute recoveries. My route wasn’t flat so I got frustrated with my times. I ended up changing it a bit and did the following workout:

I felt like it was a good effort to get my legs moving faster without doing anything too strenuous between races.
By the way, the weekend of a hot and humid race is NOT a good time to run out of coconut oil! My hair was in a huge knot after the race and it took forever to get it out!
This week I started doing a 10 day trial of Les Mills On Demand. I loved taking Body Pump and CXWORX at my gym when I had my membership, so I am excited to see what this is like. I did a 30 minute Body Pump class on Wednesday and I have a feeling I will be sore from that! Maybe I will even do some BodyFlow classes to get back in the yoga habit!
