This year I have really been struggling to come up with gift ideas for others as well as a wish list for myself. So instead of actually being productive with those tasks, I came up with a list of gifts ideas for runners. These are items I already own that I think most runners would like to receive! You can see my gift guide from last year here.

- Race bib/medal display: I got this for Christmas last year and still have not hung it up. We are waiting to get our office set up so I can find a place to hang it. I am really excited to eventually get it up!
- The Runner’s Brain: I talked about reading this before my last marathon and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who runs races and wants to take their mental game to the next level!
- Headband: I struggle with finding hats I like because of my ponytail, but headbands are perfect. I couldn’t find the one I have anymore but this one is similar.
- PRO Compression socks: I talk about these socks all the time because I wear them all the time. I also got Rob hooked on them lately and he asked for another pair for Christmas.
- Momentum Jewelry Wrap: I got a motivation bracelet last year that says “Run Strong” and I love to wear it for long runs or races!
- Headlamp: Any runner who is out in the early morning or evening hours would appreciate this gift. I found that this one is the brightest and is also light and stays in place well.
- Flip belt: I wear my flip belt on almost every run and use it to carry my phone and sometimes gels.
- Wine glasses for runners: Alexis sent me these glasses after I coached her for her marathon and I love them! Rob and I drink out of them all the time. I also love that they are sturdy because I have a bad habit of occasionally breaking wine glasses…
- Running gloves: I can’t find the ones I have, but I actually think it’s good to have a few different pairs of running gloves for different temperatures and in case you actually decide to wash them once in a while.
- Reflective gear: Now that I run in the dark all the time I always wear something reflective, along with my headlamp. I got this for my birthday and I like that I can wear it over anything. It also has a pocket in the front and is comfortable- I don’t even notice I am wearing it.
Which of these items would you like to receive as a holiday gift?
Any other great gift ideas for runners?

A great pair of running gloves is a perfect gift. I bought them for myself last year and they were worth every penny. Lulu doesn’t make them anymore so I am really glad that I got them when I did. I could use something for my medals, I was just saying it the other night! I have them displayed in my china cabinet for now lol
I had a medal hanger that was a stand, but it filled up really quickly and didn’t have anything for bibs. I am excited to finally be able to display everything in one place!

I love my flipbelt also. It is great for hauling around my bear spray and my phone, and chapstick. I also just got my first Momentum wrap bracelet and I want more!! Great list!
Flipbelts are so perfect for carrying a phone and other things while running!
Wendy@Taking the Long Way Home says
Great list! I just finished the Runner’s Brain and will be reviewing it later this week! And I love my Petzl headlamp.
Oh I will need to check out your book review! I have a petzl headlamp too- I found that it moved around a bit too much, so the one I have now is a little lighter and brighter.
Susie @ SuzLyfe says
I have those Brooks Gloves too and I love them. But I have a heavier pair for the deeper winter.
I think I need to get a warmer pair or something that I can layer. Although my hands usually get pretty warm once I start running.
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
Wash gloves? You’re supposed to do that? 🙂
I do have several different weight gloves, and now I’ve lost one of my lighter ones (just one glove, not the whole pair), unless, of course, it’s somewhere in the dark hole of my trunk. I’m hoping . . . I sure could have used them yesterday!
Haha, I embarrassed to admit how often I wash my running gloves…
Megan @ Meg Go Run says
I asked for compression socks since I only have one pair- black for under my boots. I asked for pink and I think I will get them!!!
Nice!! I love having compression socks in fun colors:)
I love reading blogs about holiday gift ideas. I think I ask for that book. Those momentum jewelry bracelets are so cute. I wouldn’t mind having one of those either.
I hope you get some of those things this season!

I love the idea of a medal display and the jewelry wrap! We pretty much have our office set up, so I’d love to have something on the wall where I can hang my medals. Great ideas!
I am thinking an office is the perfect place for a medal display! I really can’t wait to finally get mine set up.

Great list! I totally agree on all of it … 🙂
Gloves are perfect as you say, and multiple pairs works great to get you through the winter. I also suggest the combination liner gloves with windproof mittens. That is what helped me through to -25F last winter!
I love my SPIBelt, just an alternative to FlipBelt.
One other thing would be RoadID … the jewelry isn’t my thing 😉 but safety gear like RoadID is !
And agree 100% on the Pro Compression. I started slow, but now wear them on every run, and occasionally just as regular socks!
I do think I should try to get some mittens this year- I have a light pair of gloves that I could probably wear under mittens if it gets really cold out.
I used to have a spibelt but found that it moved around too much- I know some people swear by them though!
And yes to the Road ID! I have had one for years (it was on last year’s blog post) and a few months ago I upgraded to a silicone band because my old one was getting worn out.
Also, glad to hear you love PRO Compression as much as I do:)
Angie @ Pace with Grace says
I love these all! Why it is so much easier to come up with runner gifts that anything else?! That metal display is one of the best I’ve seen! I added a Road ID to my list this year and hope I get it 🙂
There are just so many great running gifts, in my opinion:)

I got a race medal hanger for my birthday! A compact one for my NYC apartment, not a wall hanger. It was a lovely gift, before that I shoved them all in a drawer with the bibs.
Thats great! Whatever works, right?:)
I love that bib/medal holder! So awesome. This is a great gift list!
Isn’t it awesome? I can’t wait to finally hang it up.
All great picks! Those wine glasses are hilarious. Thanks for linking up!
I really love the wine glasses- they were the perfect gift!
I use winter headbands too. Even if I have my hair in a bun instead of a ponytail, I can’t deal with winter hats.
Yep, my hair just doesn’t fit well in a winter hat!
Sam @ See Sam Run says
Great list! I also can’t find my headband, so I’m in the market for one as well. I’m thankful it’s still been pretty warm around these parts. That medal rack is so cute. I am totally going to be asking for one next year when I truly have my own place! I’ve kind of started apartment hunting for my impending MD move and it is seriously so exciting!
I need to hear more about your move to MD! Let me know if you have any questions about areas or anything!
I have yet to try a pair of compression socks. Isn’t that nuts? I need to try some. This is a great list. That book looks really good too.
I can’t believe you have never tried compression socks! I think I would like wearing them even if I didn’t run:)
Rachael @ Catch Me if You Can says
i love my flipbelt. i love that they now have a hook to hold your keys. i lost my house key once and it was on a cold saturday that my husband had to work yikes! luckily i have friends in my neighborhood that let me borrow their phone…oh yeah this was also before i ran with my cell phone and someone (husband) put the spare key in the garage…oh man brining back old memories lol. these are all great items, but you should add a gift card to massage envy too, because massages are the best 🙂
I want to get a new flip belt that has the key hook! That was my one complaint about the one I have.
And I actually did ask for a massage gift card- they are totally the best:)
Laura @ This Runner's Recipes says
Great list! I have those Brooks gloves and earwarmer/headband and love them! I need to ask for more compression socks – mine are getting old.
I don’t think you can ever have too many compression socks:)
I already got a reflective vest for Christmas this year! It’s awesome!
Nice! Only runners would be excited about something like that!:)
Michele @ paleorunningmomma says
Ooh I love so many of these! My flipbelt is great, new compression socks are always a win and reflective gear is so necessary for winter! The bib and medal display is also cool, not sure I’ll ever go for it though.
Now that I am out of the city I have realized just how necessary the reflective gear is!
Heathers Looking Glass says
Wine glass? Yes please!
Aren’t they awesome?!
James @ HalfMarathonJames says
That’s the best medal hanger I’ve ever seen.. I clicked to have a look, but it ain’t cheap to post it to Ireland lol..
Oh that’s too bad! I wonder if anyone over there makes something similar.
nicole@life after heels says
I love the list. Thanks for posting the url for the items. I have been looking for a race bib/medallion display. I love the motivational jewelry.
Glad you saw some things you like on the list!
MCM Mama Runs says
I need to finish reading that book!
Lots of good gift suggestions here.
I hope you enjoy the book!
Cori @ She's Going the Distance says
i’ve been trying to find a cool medal holder for my office as well. I love that one!!
It’s a good one- I can’t wait to actually hang it up!
