Do As I Say, Not As I Do

Mile by Mile Running

Who do I think I am, jumping back into these harder workouts and long runs? Let me just put this disclaimer out there: Do as I say, not as I do. I would never recommend this type of return to running to anyone else. As a running coach, I am more than familiar with the concept of increasing gradually and adding back speed or distance, not both at the same time. Isn't it supposed to be October? Where did the nice fall temps from last weekend go? This weekend I managed to run my first double-digit run of the year. The only bad thing about it was the chafing. I was not prepared for the humidity even though I knew it would be in the 60s. While annoying (and painful) if that was the only bad thing about my first long run in forever, I'll take it.    Monday: 4 mile ... Read the Post...
