Sometimes I Just Don’t Feel Like Running

Sometimes I just don't feel like running, especially when I'm sick. This week I wasn't feeling well and was stressed and emotionally drained, so I took most of the week off of running.

When I left off last week I was talking about how we were adjusting to our new routine, but that came to a halt this week when Grayson and I were both sick. It was a rough week with very few workouts. Sometimes I just don't feel like running, and this was one of those weeks. Over the past couple of years I've been much better about just resting when I don't feel well, and this week was no exception. Weekly Run Down: ... Read the Post...

Fartlek Friday: How To Work on Pull-Ups at Home

Are you working on doing pull-ups at home. Actually, right now I'm working on chin-ups. Most runners go into a race hoping to set a PR (or personal record). However, there are many other race goals that you can focus on, especially if you race often or are not in peak racing shape. Focusing on other types of race goals can be great for working on other skills like pacing, fueling, or just enjoying the race environment!

Adjusting To Our New Schedule

This felt like a long, strange week as we were adjusting to our new schedule. There were still lots of miles, just not as many stroller miles. The weather finally realized that it's actually spring and I was able to wear shorts on all my runs. I also got lucky and had my rest day scheduled on the one day it rained! Here's how the week looked overall.
