If you have a Mother Runner in your life, you know that their wish list is usually pretty simple: time with family, getting to go for a run, and running gear. But what if it seems like they have ALL the running gear already? Here are 12 unique mother's day gift ideas for mother runners!

Mother’s Day Gift Ideas for Mother Runners

1. SoundPEATS POP Clip Wireless Open Ear Earbuds

There are plenty of headphone options out there, but these are nice because they clip on to your ear and are reasonably priced! I have had some expensive wireless headphones that broke (thanks to one of my kids who liked to play with them). These are also waterproof and connect to two devices. They charge in their case and connect to your phone or device quickly when you take them out!

2. Nathan Pinnacle Pro 12L vest

This is Nathan’s new hydration vest that features a compression fit with a new quick-fit size system. It has easily adjustable sternum slider cords with tons of storage options (12 pockets) and a 1.6L insulated bladder. I’ve been using this for all my long runs for the past two months and I love it so far. I barely notice I am wearing it!

3. Lumaflex Red Light Therapy Wrap

A few weeks ago I was given the opportunity to learn more about red light therapy and to try to the Lumaflex Red Light Therapy Wrap. I took the Foundations course to better understand the science behind red light therapy. It was really interesting to learn about all of the benefits and why this works. I have only worn the wrap a few times so I can’t speak to it’s long term benefits, but it is easy to use and comfortable to wear.

4. Pliability Subscription

If you are looking to add more mobility into your day, try the Pliability app! This is much more than just stretching. There are different tracks you can follow depending on your needs and goals. Most of the videos are short (10-15 minutes) so they are easy to fit in when you have a few minutes. You can even try a 7 day free trial!

5. Fuel Goods Box

Fuel goods is a website that allows you to purchase sports nutrition products and training gear. You can try a mix of samples or a full pack of most of the products. You can also set up a subscription to receive the same items every week, 2 weeks, month, or 2 months at a discounted price. There are also fuel packs put together, which are a mix of samples for a specific sport (such as the RunnerBox). It’s a really nice way to try different products and to also purchase any products that you want to use regularly!

6. Medal Awards Rack Display

If the mother runner in your life has done any races, she will probably want to display her medals and bibs! Medal Awards Rack has options such as the 3 in 1 Shadow Box that allow you to show off your medal, bib, and a race photo. It’s the perfect way to commemorate a special day! 7. Nooma Drinks

Nooma has a few different kinds of drinks available including wellness soda, energy drinks, and sports drinks. They all have clean ingredients and low sugar. I’ve really been enjoying the wellness sodas which are the perfect pick me up in the afternoon without crashing later. Plus they have ingredients that are good for you!

8. Brooks Luxe Tank

You can’t beat the soft comfort of the Luxe products, and now that it’s getting warmer out the Luxe tank is perfect for running in the summer heat.

9. Bottle Bright Cleaning Tablets

If the mother runner you are shopping for carries water on her runs, she would love these bottle cleaning tablets! They make it easy to clean those hydration packs and bottles. You just add the tab and some water, let it sit for 15-30 minutes, and rinse!

10. Cheribundi Performance Sleep Concentrate

We can all use a little help to get good sleep, right? (Especially a mom who is juggling all the things). These pouches contain tart cherry juice concentrated with melatonin and magnesium to help you recover and sleep well.

11. Brooks Glycerin 22

I have been wearing the Brooks Glycerin 22 for a few months now, and they are a great version of one of Brooks’ classic shoe models. They have nitrogen-infused cushioning in the midsole that delivers plush landings and responsive toe-offs, making them feel soft but not heavy. I have been wearing these for easy runs and many long runs as well.

12. Lagoon Pillow

I never thought I would care as much about sleep as I do until I became a mom and realized it is a luxury that you need to work for! During my daughter’s last sleep regression I was finding myself tossing and turning even when I finally got her to go back to sleep. I started to realize that my pillow was too thin and was probably worn out (I couldn’t even remember how long I had it for). I decided to make the investment in a high quality pillow.

I was REALLY hesitant to spend over $100 on a pillow but I figured if I didn’t like it I could return it. However, on the first night I used it I had my highest sleep score EVER! I have been using it for about a month now and my watch data shows how much my sleep has improved. (Luckily, my daughter’s sleep has also improved, which obviously helps as well.)

The nice thing about this pillow is you can take a quiz to find the type that is best for you, and then once you receive your pillow you can take out some of the filling to make it thinner. If you are shopping for a mother runner and you don’t know which pillow she would want you could get her a gift card so she can choose her own! Save 15% with the code MILEBYMILE

I hope you find this list helpful! And remember, when all else fails, give a mother runner some time to go for a run and she will be happy!

Oh wow, that pillow sounds fantastic — thanks for the tip, Lisa!
Also, I’m really curious about that compression hydro-vest. How does it feel in warm weather? Does it get uncomfortably hot, or is it surprisingly breathable?

I have been using the vest since around February so it hasn’t been that hot yet! (Last weekend I practiced with my handheld). It doesn’t feel like it will get uncomfortably hot though!

I’m always in the market for new shoes! And I love the Brooks Distance 3.0 tank tops and long sleeved shirts.

Race entries are always nice. That fuel subscription box looks pretty cool!

I’m really interested in that pillow! I have such difficulties getting enough sleep even though I try to get to bed early. I equate having several dogs on my bed and in my room to having a baby interrupting my sleep every couple of hours.

Fall is pretty good too but there’s nothing like Fall is pretty good too but there’s nothing like seeing the sunrise on a morning run! As an early morning riser I would be fine with a 4am sunrise but I know that’s not for everyone so I will just enjoy the 2 months of the year when the sun is up (almost) as early as me. #morningrunner #sunriserun
Let them be your reason, not your excuse. I coul Let them be your reason, not your excuse.

I could sit here and tell you how hard it is to train with 2 young kids. How I rarely get a full night’s sleep anymore. How they got me sick the week before my race. How my SI joint just isn’t the same since my pregnancies. But that wouldn’t be fair, because I need to listen to my own advice that I give them about how to keep working hard and that there will always be obstacles to overcome.

After my race on Sunday I was thinking about how my Kindergartner has been working for a special award all year long. Many times he has told me he just wants to give up, because he works so hard for months at a time and still hasn’t earned it. I keep telling him that if he keeps working hard he will earn it, but what’s most important is that he gives his best each and every day. All those good days add up and even if he doesn’t earn the award, it will mean he had a great year.

Don’t I need to take my own advice and remember that all the good training days add up, even if I don’t get the outcome I want on race day? Before my race he kept telling me to do my best, and that he would give me a prize (artwork) even if I don’t win. So maybe all the lessons I am teaching him are starting to pay off? #motherrunner #halfmarathon #frederickrunfest
I can pretty much see the humidity as I look back I can pretty much see the humidity as I look back on these videos. After a few days to process my race I am feeling better about how it went and starting to focus on what’s next. I guess it’s officially time to acclimate to the heat and humidity because it’s not getting cooler any time soon! My full recap is up at milebymileblog.com

Have you acclimated to the warmer weather yet?

Happy Medal Monday! This is a unique medal because Happy Medal Monday! This is a unique medal because the middle part is actually a removable pin! So you could take it off and display it somewhere else. What is the most unique medal you have received at a race? #run #halfmarathoner #frederickrunfest #medalmonday
