Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, it’s time to really focus on the holidays! December is going to fly by and there is so much to do. One thing to check off my list is getting started on some holiday shopping and making my own wish list. (Or, just finding some good deals on running gear and buying them for myself…) I love checking out new running gear and rounding up some recommendations to share. So here are my top picks for running gifts to give and receive in 2024!

Running Gifts to Give and Receive in 2024
Running Shoes
When it comes to running shoes, the only brand I wear is Brooks. So personally I can’t speak to all the other brands and models that are available. But when it comes to Brooks, I’ve worn almost every road shoe that they have available. I like different shoes for different purposes, so they all have a place in my rotation. Every runner is different when it comes to shoes so you will definitely need to figure out what works for you!
Running Clothes
Again, most of what I personally wear is from Brooks. There are a few classics that have been updated over the years. These pieces I have last me a long time even when I wear them (and accidentally put them in the dyer) regularly.

- Canopy Jacket
- Lux Short Sleeve
- Momentum Thermal Tights
- Zash 1/2 Zip
- Shield Hybrid Jacket
- Feetures Socks

Running Accessories
Especially in the winter we need lots of other “accessories” besides running clothes. Hats, gloves, headbands, belts, vests, lights, sunglasses, etc. I feel like my basement looks like a running store with all the accessories I have laying around. But in my opinion you can never have too many of these. How many times have you misplaced your sunglasses and been grateful that you had an extra pair laying around? I know I do this all the time!
- Notch Thermal Headband

- Flip Belt (with zipper)
- Zipster Max Waist Belt

Running Tech
Runners like to say that running in a simple sport that doesn’t require much, but we sure do love our technology! The two main reasons I use running tech are for data and for safety. Here are my top pics for running tech this year (I don’t own either of the watches, but they are my top choices as I am trying to find a new one this year).
- Garmin Forerunner 265
- Coros Pace 3
- Coros Armband Heart Rate Monitor
- Shokz Open Air Headphones
- Wireless Bluetooth Headphones (these work well for me at a fraction of the cost of Shokz)
- Wireless Camera Remote

I pulled out that Brooks notch thermal hoodie yesterday and forgot how great it was!
All great ideas… but truthfully, I need to purge before I buy anything new.
These are all great ideas!
I don’t gravitate towards the smaller things. I confess I don’t use too many lights or other little accessories, but they do make for great gifts.
I’ve been trying to make a list for my hubby (to buy for me, his request) so this will help. I feel like I have so much already that I really don’t need anything. I did get him a pair of the Shokz OpenFit headphones. I love mine and they were on sale, so…
