Wedding Weekend #1 and Weekly Recap

Mile by Mile Running

I am calling this "wedding weekend #1" because I have two weddings this spring for friends I have known since Kindergarten. The first was this past Friday: my friend who we call Williams (it's his last name, but really that's all I know him by!) and his new bride Sherrie.  I'll share a bit about the weekend and then my weekly recap.  Rob and I took the day off work on Friday because the wedding started at 6pm in ... I Guess I’m Still a Distance Runner

hill

This past week's workouts were remarkably better than the week before. I think that going into the week with a plan helped tremendously. The only thing I wasn't sure about was if I was going to sign up for a half-marathon on Saturday. I ended up not doing the race, but doing my own 13.1 mile run kind of unexpectedly.  I used to just go out and do long runs all year round, whether or not I was training for a race. So ...
