Virtual Stroller 5k and MCM 10k Race Week

This week I participated in two virtual races. One was a virtual stroller 5k and the other was the virtual mcm 10k. While it was not ideal to run two races two days apart, it worked out ok. Here's how my week of workouts looked and a quick recap of these two races.

Two virtual races in one week? In the middle of a run streak? Not sure how this all happened but it did. As I said in my Instagram post the other day, "If you always wait for perfect conditions you will never get anything done". For many runners, a post-race beer is a relaxing and rewarding ritual to celebrate a big accomplishment or fun event. But what about having a drink the night before a race or a hard run? Will this impact your performance? While it's hard to say for sure, there are some thing you can consider when deciding whether or not to indulge. Here's what you need to know about running and alcohol and how it affects ... Read the Post...

Enjoying Fall Running While It Lasts

stroller run

We've had a nice stretch of weather around here and I'm just enjoying fall running while it lasts. As much as I love summer, the heat and humidity this year really did me in. I know things are going to get trickier for running with the stroller as it gets colder, so this seems to be the sweet spot for running this year. I've continued to build my mileage and work on my #rundestober run streak. So far it's going well, ... Read the Post...
