Race Across Maryland Week 1 (Miles 0-39)

long run

This week I started the Race Across Maryland. The goal is to run 250 miles across Maryland in 60 days. I'm hoping to mostly run the distance, but I am tracking my walks too. This week I ran 30.2 miles and walked 8.8 miles. I hadn't been tracking my walks prior to this week so it was interesting to look at how far I walk each day when I go on stroller walks with Grayson! This was a pretty good week of workouts. Towards ... Read the Post...

What It’s Like To Stroller Run With a 1 Year Old

Stroller running at different ages brings many unique challenges. Stroller running with a 1 year old has been very different than when I ran with a baby. Here is what its been like to stroller run with a 1 year old. #running #strollerrunning #motherrunner

It's been a few months since I wrote specifically about stroller running. I have now been running with a stroller for a full year! The whole experience has changed so much in that year. I love this time of year, especially right now when we still have some nice days mixed in with the super-gross-humid days. As I've thought back over the past few years, I've been reflecting on the magic of June running. Other than 2016, June ... Read the Post...

A New Running Challenge for this Summer

Without any races planned, I've been wanting to do a new running challenge. I found one that I think will be helpful for me during COVID-19 and while I am stroller running in the summer heat and focusing on strength training. This post is all about my new running challenge for this summer and why I chose this one. #running #challenge

It's no secret that my running has sort of been all over the place this year. Back in January I was so excited to start training for a half-marathon which was supposed to take place in May. I made it through about 6 weeks of training before it was postponed (the new date has yet to be made official). I've been doing virtual races during COVID-19 but some weeks I run alot (for me) and others I feel less motivated and don't ... Read the Post...
