Thanksgiving Week Workouts

Thanksgiving week was a short but busy one. See how my workouts went, which included my first 5k in a year and a half!

I can't believe Thanksgiving has come and gone and now it's almost December. Last week was kind of a weird one for me. I took off work on Tuesday for my Dad's surgery, I had presentations all day Wednesday (which meant Monday was my only day in the office), and we celebrated Thanksgiving on Saturday. A Long Run Workout Makes the Run Fly By

Long runs week after week can be boring and repetitive, especially if you're not training for a race. A long run workout is a great way to change things up and try something new! They also make the run fly by. Click post for more workout ideas.

There wasn't anything too exciting about my week of workouts, but I wanted to talk a little bit about my long run workout. Whenever I'm not training for a race but running decent mileage, I love adding in long run workouts to change things up. It can be boring and repetitive to do long runs week after week with no real purpose!  The workout I did on Saturday seriously made the run fly by. I was always thinking ... Read the Post...

19 miles! 7 on the treadmill, 12 outside, 1,272 to 19 miles! 7 on the treadmill, 12 outside, 1,272 total feet of elevation gain. Amazing weather. Listened to Life of a Showgirl on the treadmill and had some podcasts saved for my outside run but couldn’t get my headphones to connect. This was challenging by the end and I kept thinking how hard it would be if I needed to run another 7 miles today (and all miles at a faster pace) but this is why we train. Feeling like I’m in a good place with 6 weeks to go! How was your run today? #run #marathontraining #longrun
And just like that September is over…but most of And just like that September is over…but most of it still felt like August. This month I ran 175 miles, my highest since last November. The long runs are getting longer, and I’m slowly feeling like my fitness is building. I can’t believe that by the time October is over I’ll be getting ready to taper for the marathon! Let’s hope October brings lots of good miles and maybe some cooler weather. Was September a good month of running for you? #september #marathontraining #running
